30th World Championship Indian Hoop Dance Contest

Phoenix, Arizona, USA, February 8, 2020. The 30th World Championship Hoop Dance Contest (2020) at the Heard Museum in Phoenix, Arizona, celebrated Indigenous storytelling and artistry, featuring over 100 top Native hoop dancers from the U.S. and Canada. Dancers competed by manipulating up to 50 hoops to create intricate shapes, such as birds and butterflies, while maintaining rhythm to live drumming.
